Tim Hoeflich is 51 years young and resides in Marietta, Ohio. Both he and his wife Linda hail from western Pennsylvania. They moved to Marietta when Tim retired from the Air Force in 1998 and quickly came to love the small town atmosphere and beautiful, gently-rolling Ohio countryside. They have two children, Jason and Kelly.
For Tim, photography is a favorite hobby and a great source of joy and relaxation. He first became interested in photography at the age of ten. Although his interest waxed and waned over the years, it was reignited when he purchased his first digital camera in 2005.
Tim's deep respect for nature and the natural world is evident in his work, though he enjoys all types of photography and has even done a wedding or two for his friends.
Tim says:
"One of the things I like most about this area of the country, and Ohio in particular, is the distinct seasons and all of the wonderful photo opportunities that come with each season. I love sharing my photos with anyone who cares to see them and I hope that when people view them they feel some of the same reverence for nature I felt while taking them. I have contributed photos to the local historical society and other local groups that promote conservation and respect for the environment. I am particularly proud of some of my photos that have been used in park signs at the Kroger Wetland here in Marietta. I am having a lot of fun and I hope to continue taking pictures for many, many years to come."
